Terje Haakonsen, a professional snowboarder from Norway, is famous for being one of the most influential riders of all time. Terje Haakonsen became an icon of the sport by being the best in snowboarding competitions in the 1990s. Mr. Haakonsen is also known from starring in the documentary First Descent, from which the clip below is taken.

Check out this video. It is absolutely amazing. Scary. I have skied some challenging mountain faces but this one is truly impressive. See at around 50 seconds how aerial that peak is. See the blue sky and the white snow. Isn’t that beautiful and scary at the same time? And how about around 55 seconds? Is that steep enough? Gnarly enough?
