It has been an interesting year 2007. Couple more days and it’s history. Year 2008 is going to begin with new challenges for us. This has been an interesting year for me since I returned home from Switzerland after working there for two years. I started a new interesting job in Finland and am able to spend more time with my family.
Another reason for year 2007 being interesting is that I launched Homeboy in September. Since then I’ve been writing articles covering topics I’m interested in on almost daily basis. Soon after I started Janne joined me and with writing articles. Janne’s gear reviews have been popular and they form an important part of our incoming traffic.
It is pretty clear that people are interested in gear reviews. So that is what we are going to provide next year. We are going to negotiate deals with vendors and dealers in order to get equipment for reviews. On top of gear reviews we will continue on providing resort reviews and interesting articles on skiing, such as skiing in Kamchatka. We will continue movie and book reviews, and we will perform a complete facelift of this blog, which will mean introducing a new blog theme with higher usability.
In 2008 we will start looking for guest writers. If you are interested in publishing your articles, road-trip stories or anything interesting in our blog, please contact us. We will set up a campaign to find guest bloggers, so stay tuned.
All this and many other things are going to happen during 2008. Our humble goal is to become number one skiing blog in the blogosphere and we know we can make it. Skiing is in our veins and we love writing about it, even though sometimes it is done at 4am…
Dudes. I wish you all the best for 2008 and welcome you back to reading Homeboy. I thank you for all the comments you have left and every single email you have sent me. It has been my pleasure to write you about skiing.
Rock on!
