Hello to all. I have had a Rossignol Diablo since about 1986. Bought it new and fell in love with it. I used to ski for many years previously and once I got the hang of the mono, I did not want to go back.
As mentioned by others, it is like riding on a cloud. It cruizes through powder and handles great on hard pack too.. Never fall, and no more pain in my knees from twisting. It you have never tried it, get one. Everytime I,m in the lift line, someone has to ask me, what is that. I tell them it is a vintage 1986 mono. I love this thing.

Hi,
I have a (pair :) ) of Rossignol 20 - 25 years old mono ski in garage. Unfortunatelly it is little bit broken, any idea where to get new, most likelly not from Finland? It was quite easy to ski as far as I remember. There was not not many at that time either.

I've been monoskiing - more or less actively since the mid eighties.
I've had at least one monoski all the time.

At the moment I have three: A twintip park ski (snowshark TT-hammer), A giant slalom kinda thing for high speed carving (Aluflex Phi 185) and a big custom powder ski (White Knuckles).

Marko If we come across at some ski resort by all means do a have go on one or all of those.
The modern shapes with sidecut etc. a pretty far from the pintails You've been riding back in the day.

I've been monoskiing in Lofoten islands, Jotunheim (down from top of the Galdhöpiggen), Lyngen, Engelberg, etc, etc. pretty much everywhere I've been skiing in :)

[...] Now, question is “overall or pants and a jacket? Although some people are still into overalls, I strongly recommend purchasing pants and a jacket. Overalls are difficult to use, but naturally they protect your back from snow. If you go monoskiing, the trend might be more to overalls. [...]
