Posted by marko as Other Cool Stuff
As a blogger I surf in the Internet all day long. Ok, may be not 24/7, but few hours a day. I come across with great websites and blogs every now and then. Naturally not all of them are skiing related sites, but also from other sports, hobbies and such. Here are link to 10 interesting blogs. Check them out, you might find an interesting blog to read. Blogs are not in any kind of order, they are just one after another. All of them are great sites and I follow and read them almost daily!
Ok, as we are skiers, there must be a couple of skiing blogs in this list. Of course.. Dave’s Backcountry Blog is awesome! I LOVE those big pictures of good powder skiing. Dave is a damn good skier who goes skiing the right mountain faces. I would love to join Dave’s group and follow the dudes to the best and secret backcountries of Colorado. If you are into powder skiing, check out Dave’s blog right now.
2. SnowSlider
Another great skiing blog is SnowSlider, written by Ian Spare, who writes interesting skiing stories from Switzerland. Additionally Ian writes gear reviews and about other sports, such as climbing and cycling. Remember to check out Ian’s photo gallery as well. There are some really cool mountain pictures!
3. 360Guide
Some time ago Janne wrote about his love to snowboarding. 360Guide is a great board blog providing you helluva lot valuable information on board sports. As they say in 360Guide: “360guide is dedicated to helping you find most comprehensive advice on extreme sports equipment. On this website you can find all sorts of information on equipment for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding and skiing“.
Interested in free music? Check out ItsFreeDoanloads.Com. As they say: “Every week Apple’s iTunes Store offers one or more free music and TV show downloads. Often, though, it can been a bit of work finding all the freebies available — so that’s where itsfreedownloads.com comes in. Here you’ll find links to all the current free downloads — just click on the link and you’ll be taken to the file in iTunes to download“.
5. Ride Strong
When there is no snow, I go riding my mountain bike. Additionally I am interested in riding a road bike. Here’s one great blog for those who are interested in cycling! As sait by the blogger: “The blog for cycling enthusiasts. Great resource for road bike cyclists; whether you are a weekend warrior or a hard core racer this blog is for you. Check out the $10,000 race to the yellow jersey contest“.
6. Photos from Northern Norway
Norway is a great, I mean superb country to ski. Even though Norway is super-expensive country, there are an endless amount of great mountain faces to ski. Thomas Laupstad writes his photographing blog from Norway. Take a look at his blog and be amazed! This blog is one of my favorites. The blogger says: “An unique view from beyond the Arctic circle. Updated several times a week with high quality photos“.
I am a Finn and I enjoy promoting Finnish websites. This one is great. There is no need to explain why, just take a look at the pictures Juha Ylitalo has taken. Awesome.. Blogger himself says: “Photography blog with nature and travel related photography from Finland, Europe and rest of the world“.
8. CakeItaly
I must say I am not a very good cheff. I enjoy cooking, but I should learn something new. Some days ago I stumbled upon this website and I got interested. This is where are learned the Sacher cake recipe. The blogger says: “A taste of Italian sweets, cakes, cookies and more. For a delicous life“.
9. Automo Blog
I am not a “car man”, but sometimes it is nice to read about some fancy cars. I drive my old, dirty and rusty Renault Laguna, which makes a lot of noise and smoke. One day it would be nice to drive a car that does not cause harm as much as my present car. Automo Blog is a great blog to read about cars. This is what the blog founder says: “Automoblog.net was started in May 2006 as a way for me to talk about my love for fast cars. Since then, we’ve grown to be known as one of the best resources for unbiased information, news, pictures, videos, and opinions on performance cars, new and old. We personally cover as many events as possible, and do our best to report them as they are. Whether you’re into sports cars, exotic cars, supercars, modified cars, tuner cars, or muscle cars, Automoblog.net is your website“.
10. Everything Anywhere Travel Blog
This blog is simply great. It is the best travel blog I have ever seen. Gary writes about his trips around the world. “My name is Gary. In March 2007, I sold my house, put my stuff in storage and hit the road. As of December 2007, I’ve been to 26 countries and territories. This is the journal of my travel and adventures“.
So, these were my blog links today. I hope you found something interesting from my list.
