Thanks Mike!

I am afraid that I can't help you more than:

http://www.dalbello.it/Home.aspx?LANG=USA# --> and click dealers

(As I live in Finland, North Europe...our local retail probably wouldn't help much?)

Great comments guys!

I think this all depends on one's anatomy (and skiing style of course), Check out this (very nice) thread about the issue:

http://forums.epicski.com/showthread.php?t=45238&highlight=bicycle+bumps

It is very important to find OPTIMAL forward leand and flex - and that is highly personal. Note that too much forward lean can lead to backseat too! (That's what I found when jumping on my Lange's...more neutral, upright stance on my Dalbello's is much better for park. But actually I still prefer my Langes for "real" skiing!)

il morro is designed with the ratchet so you can ride with it looser on the upper cuff making the boot flex easier without letting the buckle unclip. crank it down and it tightens it up.

I bought the Il Moro and had a very similar experience to Janne's. I can't say that I ever found a position where I was as forward as I wanted to be. Skiing the bumps a lot, I thought these boots would be ideal but, as my son who bought the same boots and watched me hit the moguls said, "Dad, you look like you're fighting to stay forward on the boots. It just doesn't look right." He decided that everything about these boots is counterintuitive and he may be right. We both got rid of the forward lean piece and that helped me a bit. Since he does a lot of park jumping and launches off cliffs, they work fine for him. I'm an off-piste skier and bump guy and I like to lean into my skis on steep runs. The problem with the forward lean pieces on these boots is that they adjust the back of the boot while the hard plastic "tongue" piece fights against any leaning forward. Although the tongue does flex a lot to soften impacts, its initial pressure takes away leverage at the start of any movement. When I talked to a Dalbello rep about this, he suggested I just cut the tongue piece somehow (maybe vertically) to get rid of this backward pressure. But then it would just be mush when I hit anything. The real fix would be for Dalbello to make a stiff tongue piece that was angled forward to match any increased forward lean from the rear.

I'm going to try them a bit more this season but I may ditch them for some Tecnicas or Langes.
