Finnish filmer/new school skier Lasse Nevantausta has teamed up with some top class European riders.
The work name for the upcoming flick is Phoenix and the videoblog from the latest filming sessions is located on the address: http://phoenix-freestyle.blogspot.com/
The new school “scene” in Finland has really been growing eplosively in the lastest years. Our snowboarders are already world famous, and I guess it is only a question about time when some of our skiers will step into the international spotlight (like the Swedes has already done big time, Jon Olson in the forefront….)
Few years ago I even knew some of the names in the new school skiing circles in our country but I have to admit I haven’t met any of these young guys. Also, the riders coming from another European countries are totally strange to me. But there was a rumor that legendary Glen Plake himself is going to have a visit on the flick! Is this true or not (or a pure joke?) is yet to be seen but I’m waiting for sure…
We here at Homeboyski are pretty much old school guys but we enjoy a dose of good jibbing action once in a while (and even try to wreck ourselves in the park sometimes) - so we wish luck to Lasse’s team and keep checking the evolution of the filming on the coming spring!
