In March 2008 we asked “where is the best after-ski?”, and the results are now here. We received 25 votes in total and most of the choices were voted. According to this poll, the best after-ski is in Austria. 28% of the votes were given to Austria, and I don’t wonder why. Austrian after-ski is legendary and well-known. Those who have been to St. Anton know what I am talking about.
The second best after-ski is in Canada and Scandinavia, according to our poll. Canada and Scandinavia both received 16% of all votes. For me it is a bit surprising that people voted for Scandinavia instead of United States or France or Italy, for example. May be we have had lots of Scandinavian readers in March. Anyhow, the result is that Canada and Scandinavia share the second position in this poll.
Next comes France with 12% of all votes, and after that Italy, Switzerland and “other answers” with 8% of all votes. In this poll you were able a different answer than those fixed answers. In this “other answers” Finland and Kopaonik were voted to have the best after-ski. For those who are not familiar with Kopaonik, it is the highest mountain of Serbia. There is a nice ski resort in Kopaonik, and definitely one interesting resort for those looking for not so popular place to ski.
The last one in this poll is North America with 4% of all votes. I think I should have named it United States.. Anyhow, Alaska, Australia and Russia did not receive any votes. I would say the best skiing on Earth is in Alaska, but cool after-ski is somewhere else. Why those two elements cannot be integrated? Imagine a ski resort where you have the very best skiing on Earth and the wildest after-ski? Would be pretty heavy, eh?
