You might have noticed that ski maps tend to be difficult to open on slopes, especially with gloves on. Ski resort maps easily get wet and damaged, and after a while they are not anymore easily readable. Swedish Måns von Rohr and Catharina Wikström got enough and designed a totally new ski map format. MYWAY 2 ski map from Map House is a handy and tear-resistant scroll map that is easy to open, even with gloves on.

Måns and Catharina fed up with unhandy paper maps, and designed a new ski map concept that actually looks like a papurys scroll. Tear-resistant ski resort map is stored in two plastic poles (13.5 cm long) and can rolled up and unrolled pretty easily. Papurys-style ski resort map can be kept inside the jacket or a backbag, and it requires only a little space.

MYWAY 2 ski map is a great invention. I am not the only one who has noticed this, because MYWAY 2 ski map concept is the winner of ISPO Brandnew design competition 2008. I hope ski resorts soon update their piste maps to MYWAY 2 ski map.
What do you think about MYWAY 2 ski map? Good idea or not? What would you like to see different?
