SnoWonder – Make (fake)Snow at Home

I came across SnoWonder a couple of days ago and wondered “who the heck wants to make fake snow at home when you can ski real snow“? Well, there are actually plenty of people, such as photographers and filmmakers, who need artificial snow. Think of a party somewhere around the equator, with someone shooting zillions of artificial snowflakes with a “snowgun”. People go crazy… It might be funny for people like us because we live and breathe snow, but for those who never see real snow, artificial snow can be a lot of fun.

Artificial snow can be a lot of fun, but I rather ski real snow

SnoWonder is extremely realistic artificial snow, so it’s no wonder why fake snow is popular in various parties and events. SnoWonder is safe and non-toxic polymer and it doesn’t melt away like real snow. It can also be used on almost any surface, indoor and outdoor. They say SnoWonder lasts for months, so it can be reused again and again.

A cup of artificial snow. Look damn real, yeah?

SnoWonder has been marketing its artificial snow products since 2001 and was the first to introduce the original Snova polymer snow from Japanese Snowboard parks to the U.S. market. These guys really know how to make fake snow. Currently they sell artificial to snow customers such as professional photographers and filmmakers, gift stores, florists, designers, event planners, hotels, amusement parks, and ski resorts, but consumers can also buy their products.

Making artificial snow with SnoWonder is pretty easy and straightforward. You simply put SnoWonder powder in a big bowl, add water, stir, and gradually add more water until the desired consistency is reached.

Put some artificial snow powder to a bowl.. Add water..

Stir.. And add more water until the right consistency is reached

Although SnoWonder is environmentally friendly, it doesn’t disappear by itself. It must be vacuumed up, which can be a helluva job especially in a big garden or exhibition center. Heh…janitors probably don’t like artificial snow too much..

Yeah, human beings are funny creatures. It just keeps on amazing me how curious of things and machines people invent. Just think about this snowman in the picture below. It’s not a regular snowman, but a one with a snowgun. Actually they call it a snowfall machine. Making artificial snow is not just enough, because with this 30-inch tall snowman you can have an artificial snowfall. Oh boy..

Snowman makes an artificial snowfall

I jut wonder how it would feel ski artificial snow. Although I’d like to test this product, I guess I’m not going to order hundreds of kilos of SnoWonder powder in order to cover our neighboring sledge hill with face snow… or why not?
