Do you remember how Fred Syversen broke the world record of cliff dropping by flying amazing 107 meters couple of years ago? It was truly amazing that Fred even survived, but what’s best, he was conscious for the whole time and didn’t even lose his breath. Fred Syversen suffered from a liver damage and partly collapsed lung, but he was able so ski away after landing.

In the video below Fred Syversen talks about his world record jump, his feelings right before the jump and in the air, as well as the aftermath. Fred was interviewed by Retro Sunday fellows in Chamonix last March.
Remember to check also our in depth interview with Fred Syversen if you haven’t already seen it!

That was cool. He’s so nonchalant about it. I bet he’s a cool guy.
350 feet is just unbelievable to me. I went off a 35-40 footer, and my back hurt for months afterwards. I also cut it too early: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQibEmoMyL0
I can’t imagine going off a 350 foot cliff. That record will never be broken in my lifetime… or will it?
Fred is a cool and nice guy. Not a poser at all. He knows it was an accident and didn’t mean to do it, but is glad to be alive.
Oops! I hope you didn’t hurt yourself. Looks dangerous in the video, Austin
Nice cliff, by the way.
There’s always someone humping higher. I believe it will take years, but one day someone will drop even higher.
