Congrats to our man Ville Eskonen for being the latest Finnish photographer to get published in an international ski magazine!
Last January I got a private message on Teton Gravity Research forum from a guy called Bart. Well, Bart also happened to be the editor-in-chief of the Dutch magazine White Freeski. He said he liked Ville’s great picture from his also excellent Resort Review of Innsbruck Ski Area.
I gave Bart Ville’s contact information and the rest is history (maybe a small part of it though but an important one for us and Ville especially!)
Ville himself said he knew right from the beginning that this is going to be “the” shot: the angle, the snow, the light and the model’s skiing position were all just perfect. “And you can never forget Veikko’s text book pole plant!”, he describes (smiling).
We hope more shots like this to Ville also in the upcoming winter, and strength to finish his studies soon (as planned). Ville should graduate in January and then spend some three months in Hakuba, Japan – concentrating only on skiing and photographing.
For more of Ville’s photography, check out a few of his pics from Hakuba, Japan from last January, or visit his own site Luontokuvat Eskonen.

Sweet pic!
Yeah, that’s pretty awesome.
Yeah A-man is the man
Or rather the dynamic duo of A-men.
Congrats Ville and nice to know you got the same news we had a few days before at Vapaalasku.com! (http://vapaalasku.com/index.jsp?pid=175&id=84)
