It's the only word that can describes the WOWness of these markets. I (too) loved the buildings with the snow coating and dim lights creating a romantic aura in the market. It certainly looks like a fairy land that captivates our attention and rejuvenates our soul to the fullest. Switzerland always fascinated me that's why I went their last year and the credit goes to my tour planners http://zapbooking.com/ who made my dream come true. Switzerland is one of them, when snow covers its rooftops, fence posts, lamp stands, fields, trees and slopes. Dress yourself very warm and explore at least one Christmas market. Both the French and the German speaking markets offer fantastic food at their stalls. Some you can eat on the spot, freshly made, or you can take it home. Good home made Christmas cookies make also lovely presents, if sweets things don't tempt you. Mind, some of them have oriental touches where Cardamom is only just one unusual ingredient.
