Everything seems to be in place in Sölden, Austria. FIS Audi Alpine Ski World Cup is scheduled to start on Saturday 9:45 am local time. First is ladies’ giant slalom, and next day men’s giant slalom.

The scheduled FIS alpine skiing world cup slalom race in Levi, Finland is canceled. Despite the furious effort to prepare the slope for next weekend, the organizers couldn’t fight the mother nature. Norvegian Aksel Svindal took the first place in the alpine skiing world cup opening in Soelden on last weekend. Svindal, who skis with Atomic, won this tight race with time 2.17,87. Aksel Svindal won the whole cup and super-G on last year and he seems to continue with same goals on this year.
